I’m a Consultant Cardiologist at the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital where I’m proud to work alongside some of the best cardiologists in Liverpool and the across the country.
LHCH is a world-renowned specialist cardiac centre that provides services to a catchment of nearly 3 million people across Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales and the Isle of Man.
Our centre implants the largest number of pacemakers and complex devices, such as ICDs and biventricular pacemakers, in the UK. We’re also one of the largest implanting centres in Western Europe.

The Care Quality Commission have repeatedly rated Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital as “Outstanding”, and patients travel from all over the world to be treated here.
Prior to working as a Consultant Cardiologist at Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital, I was the Heart Failure & Device Lead at The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. This is a large organisation looking after a population of close to 1 million people.
The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust operates several hospitals across Greater Manchester including Fairfield General Hospital in Bury, North Manchester General Hospital, the Royal Oldham Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary. It’s one of the largest NHS Trusts in the North West.
I worked there for over 3 years with some of the best cardiologists in Manchester, offering award-winning care to cardiac patients in the community and in hospital.
Spire Manchester is about 20 minutes from Manchester city centre. There’s plenty of free parking and on arrival, you’ll be welcomed by the friendly reception team who are always happy to help. Spire Manchester is a large private hospital that offers a wide range of healthcare services. It’s equipped with up-to-date technology and excellent facilities, and it offers bright and modern private en suite rooms.

BMI The Alexandra is a large private hospital that takes pride in putting patient care first. Free parking is available and when you arrive for your appointment, you’ll be looked after by the friendly concierge. If you do need to stay, all of the hospital’s rooms offer the comfort of en suite facilities, satellite TV and telephone.

Private patients come from all over the world to receive care at The Rowen Suite, a private specialist hospital situated within Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. It offers patients the best of both worlds, with access to LHCH’s internationally recognised experts from the comfort of a peaceful, private environment. The Rowen Suite offers specialist cardiac care and is rated “Outstanding” by the CQC. Rooms are all en suite and offer satellite TV and WiFi.

Spire Hale is a small, friendly clinic where you’ll receive a warm welcome and personalised care. There’s free parking and private transport can also be arranged. The clinic has 4 consultation rooms and one treatment room. If further treatment is required, this will take place with Matt, at Spire Manchester Hospital.
Please note this clinic is located on the first floor and is only accessible by a staircase, so is unsuitable for patients with limited mobility. Alternative appointments can be made at Spire Manchester Hospital.

We also do our very best to accommodate ad hoc and emergency appointments and run a monthly Saturday clinic based on demand.
